This is an intensive 3 day course which can be taught through our webinar portal, or in the field. The course is an introduction to BCs Biogeo-Ecosystem Classification System. The course will provide the student with a solid introductory training on all geophysical attributes, humus forms, basic soil layer identification, basic indicator plant training, as well as describe the field practitioners methods for determining where to conduct the data, how to stratify and confirm in the field, complex and simple ecosystems, and soil hazards assessments. This course is essential for all restoration plans in BCs crown lands, as well as for site planning for operational forestry and silviculture.
